Being a manager is not an easy task. Before being a manager, you ought to be the best leader of your team. You need to showcase yourself as a perfect person with enormous interpersonal skills. A good leader is one who is more decisive and can make better choices in in the favor of his subordinates.

Manage your Time Effectively:
Time management is the first and the most important step of being the process of being a leader. If you can easily manage your time and finish all the tasks as per given time, then you have crossed the first step. 

Getting started early helps a lot. Most of the successful people start their day by getting up early. They utilize that time to analyze their whole day’s tasks and schedule them accordingly. They keep record to check their productivity at the end of the day. So, You can start your day early in order to be more productive each day.

Task Prioritization:
Making a list of tasks to be accomplished helps a lot and keeping the most important tasks in the top of the list. The tasks to be completed on priority basis has to be listed above and then 2nd important things and so on. You have to keep a watch on your tasks you have scheduled in order to make it fruitful.

Do not Procrastinate:
Procrastination is the biggest enemy in your path to success. The tasks which are to be accomplished in that very time and day, do not pass it on to the other day or procrastinate the same. This will lead to overburdening yourself and overburden will not help you to be productive.

Be Positive:
Maintaining a positive attitude will lead you to think positive and positivity leads to higher productivity. So, being a leader you ought to be positive all the time in order to spread positivity in yours subordinates.

Identify your strengths:
Nobody is perfect. Everyone one or the other weakness. But that does not mean, you are born without strengths. It is just that, you need to identify your strength and focus on those strengths to make yourself stronger. 
A good leader must have the ability to identify those strengths in others as well and increase it day by day. This helps in higher productivity.
